Overview
Bytwatch is a read-only, non-custodial wallet monitoring and paper-trading simulation tool for Hyperliquid and Polymarket. It is operated by Bytwatch Tech ("we", "us") — our formal company registration is in progress at the time of publishing, and this policy will be updated with final registered entity details once that completes.
Because Bytwatch is read-only by design, we do not request, store, or have any technical ability to access your private keys, seed phrases, or exchange trading credentials, on any blockchain or platform.
What we collect
- Account information. When you create an account (currently via Google Sign-In), we receive the basic profile identifiers your provider shares with us — name, email address, and account ID. If we add other sign-in methods later, equivalent identifiers apply.
- Watchlist data you provide. The public wallet addresses you add to Watch, search on Board, or configure in PaperRun. These are public blockchain or platform addresses — not personal bank or exchange account numbers.
- Usage & diagnostic data. App version, device/platform type, crash reports, and coarse usage events (e.g. which screens are opened) that we use to keep the product working and prioritize fixes.
We do not collect private keys, seed phrases, wallet passwords, or exchange API secret keys — the product never asks for them.
How we use it
- Operate your account and enforce your plan's entitlements (Free / Pro / Max)
- Fetch and display public on-chain and platform data for the wallets you watch
- Run the PaperRun simulations you configure
- Send account, security, and — if you opt in — position-alert notifications
- Diagnose crashes and reliability issues
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your watchlist to build advertising profiles.
Third parties & data sharing
- Blockchain & market data. Hyperliquid and Polymarket public APIs — wallet addresses you add are queried against these public data sources.
- Authentication. Google Sign-In, if you choose to use it, to verify your identity.
- Infrastructure. Our backend and database run on PocketBase on cloud server infrastructure; our website and content delivery run on Cloudflare.
- Subscriptions. Once in-app billing is live, the Apple App Store or Google Play billing systems process payment. Bytwatch does not receive or store your card details.
We do not sell personal data to third parties or data brokers.
Data retention & deletion
We keep account and watchlist data for as long as your account is active, and PaperRun simulation history for the period described by your plan. You can request deletion at any time — see the Delete Account page. We remove your account and associated personal data within 30 days of a verified request, except where we're required to retain limited records by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact support@bytwatch.io to exercise these rights — we'll confirm once your request is complete.
Security
We apply least-privilege access controls, encryption in transit, and audit logging on administrative actions. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we'll notify you as required by applicable law.
Children
Bytwatch is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under the minimum age required to hold a cryptocurrency wallet or trade in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We'll update the "last updated" date above whenever this policy changes, and for material changes we'll notify active users in-app or by email before the change takes effect.
